How this measurement works

MyNetSpeed reports measurements that were actually observed by the browser or application server. It does not replace an ISP diagnostic or claim that browser HTTP requests are ICMP packets. Run several samples and compare Wi-Fi with Ethernet before drawing conclusions.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good latency?

Under 30 ms is generally responsive for calls and gaming, while the acceptable value depends on the application and route.

Why does browser ping differ from command-line ping?

This test includes HTTP, TLS, browser scheduling and server processing instead of using ICMP packets.
